The prestigious couple of Indian cinema, Atlee Kumar and his wife Priya Mohan have welcomed their first child. They are expecting a baby boy and have announced this happy news on their social media accounts.
Atlee is known for directing blockbuster movies like Raja Rani, Theri, Mersal and Bigil. He is currently working on Jawan, a Bollywood film starring Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara. The film is slated to release on June 2 this year and is produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s production company Red Chillies Entertainment.
He started his career as an assistant director on S Shankar’s Enthiran which grossed over Rs 1.95 billion (Tamil, Telugu and Hindi versions). Since then, he has directed some of the biggest Tamil films. He has also helmed Thalapathy Vijay’s highest-grossing movie ‘Bigil’ which was a hit across all regions.
On January 31st, Atlee and his wife announced the birth of their baby boy on their social media accounts. They shared adorable pictures with their fans.
“Welcoming our baby boy today!” Atlee wrote alongside two photos. In the first photo, Atlee and Priya are lying on a bed holding tiny shoes in their hands while the text reads, “It’s a boy!”
Another picture of them shows them smiling for the camera and twinning in cream outfits for a photoshoot. The couple are beaming with love in their eyes as they look at each other with million-dollar smiles.
