Liger Distributors Threaten to Protest Outside Puri Jagannadh’s Home on October 27

The distributors of the critically acclaimed film Liger have threatened to protest outside the actor’s house on October 27. The protest is expected to last for several days. Fans are advised to stay away from the movie if they don’t want to risk being ejected from a theater. The distributors have also threatened to remove their names from the list of exhibitors eligible for a refund.

The leaked phone call between Liger distributors and director Puri Jagannadh has sparked a firestorm on social media. Apparently, the distributors threatened to hold Puri Jagannadh responsible if he doesn’t refund their money.

The message was shared with Ram Gopal Varma, who shared it with Puri Jagannadh. Apparently, the distributors were blackmailing the director, but Puri Jagannadh replied that he didn’t need to return the money in order to protest.

While puri Jagannadh has promised to reimburse the distributors’ losses, the distributors are planning to protest outside the director’s home, according to the Hindustan Times. Despite the threatening letter from distributors, the movie still released on August 25, 2022. The film featured Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday. However, the film failed to meet expectations and ended up being a failure at the box office.

Liger is a boxing drama directed by Puri Jagannadh and starred Ananya Panday. It also features boxing legend Mike Tyson in a cameo role. The movie was bankrolled by Puri and Charmy Kaur. The production company behind the film is Dharma Productions.
