Varisu’s theatrical rights have been sold for a whopping amount before the release date. Vijay’s 67th film has already garnered an impressive pre-release business, and it has been trending on Twitter. Earlier, the movie’s non-theatrical rights sold for more than Rs 150 crore, and the Hindi dubbing rights are expected to fetch even more than that.
The film is currently in the filming stages and will be simultaneously released in Tamil and Telugu, making it a pan-India project. This is the first time that Vijay is shooting a film in Telugu. The film also stars Rashmika Mandanna, and music is being composed by SS Thaman. The film is bankrolled by Dil Raju.
As part of the deal, Noted Production House has also sold the non-theatrical rights of the movie to Amazon Prime. This move has boosted the film’s box-office chances. The film is scheduled for release on Pongal 2023 and is expected to break records at the box-office. Additionally, the film has already bagged a deal for digital rights of the film, which is expected to earn around Rs 150 crore before its release date.
