Pathaan Box Office Day 9 Advance Booking: 2 Lakh+ Tickets Already Sold, Extended Week To End With A Superb Hold Before Witnessing The Weekend Blast

The Yash Raj Films-backed Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer, Pathaan, has not only rewritten the record books at the box office, it isn’t slowing down anytime soon. The movie is now reportedly the highest-grossing Bollywood film ever in its first week, and has already crossed the Rs 50 crore mark in India.

The film has also created a buzz across the globe as it has released in more than 100 countries, making it the largest Indian release overseas since KGF: Chapter 2’s release back in 2014. It is likely that this will be its biggest international opening yet, and could even surpass Yash Raj Films’ Brahmastra’s global box office collections of Rs 150 crore.

As of Sunday, the advance booking for the film is going strong and has already seen tickets selling out at multiplexes in most Indian cities. Over 3 lakh tickets have been booked in national multiplex chains including PVR and INOX, according to trade analyst Taran Adarsh.

Another major draw for the Yash Raj Films-backed spy thriller is its star value. The film features John Abraham and Dimple Kapadia in pivotal roles, besides the lead cast of Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone.

It has a very high-end appeal that should ensure that it attracts a huge number of people from all walks of life. It is also releasing in multiple languages, and will be screened in a huge number of cinema halls overseas.

This is a massive opportunity for the YRF-backed film, and with the right amount of marketing, this should be one of the most successful films in the history of Bollywood. It has a lot of star power, and this should certainly help it sell more tickets in India and abroad.

The advance booking for the film is also seeing a lot of action in the south, where it has already minted a total of around 2.75 lakh seats in cinema halls till Sunday evening. The advance booking is very impressive and it has already surpassed the record set by Yash and Sanjay Dutt-starrer KGF: Chapter 2, which sold 5.15 lakh tickets in advance.

In the UK, the film is already doing great business, and has already raked in GBP 1.9 million, leaving it second only to Disney’s Avatar: The Way of Water. With over 223 locations in the UK, the film is already the highest-grossing Hindi movie there and is set to cross the GBP 2 million mark by Monday morning.

Ticket prices for the film have been hiked and this has helped it sell well. It has also been a hit with the younger audience as it has received good reviews.

As of Tuesday, the film has already raked in around Rs 21 crore in its first day in the country, taking its total to Rs 315 crore. It will continue to earn on a daily basis and is expected to reach a total of over Rs 400 crore worldwide by Sunday.
