Nicole Faria is an Indian model, actress and environmental activist who won the Miss Earth 2010 pageant. She is the first Indian-born to win this prestigious international beauty competition.
She has walked the ramp in Lakme Fashion Week, Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week, Colombo Fashion Week and has featured on several renowned international fashion and lifestyle magazines like Elle, Vogue, Cosmopolitan, JFW and Man’s World Magazine.
She was also one of the models who shot for the 2014 Kingfisher Swimsuit Calendar, shot in the Philippines by Atul Kasbekar.
After winning the Miss Earth 2010 pageant, she has travelled all over the world to raise awareness and funds for various social and environmental causes.
She has visited Vietnam, Australia, Dubai, South Africa, Philippines, Switzerland, Washington State, New York City, Thailand, Finland and London to spread her message of saving our planet. She has also partnered with U Solar in the United States to promote renewable energy.
Her passion for fashion and beauty led her to a career in modelling at the age of fifteen. She walked the ramp in a number of international fashion shows including Colombo Fashion Week, Delhi Fashion Week, Lakme Fashion Week, Dubai, and many more across the world. She also starred in a number of commercial ads and fashion shows.
She landed her first film in 2014, with Divya Khosla Kumar’s Bollywood movie ‘Yaariyan’ as Jiya. She also starred in a Turkish film called Bir Baba Hindu.
Since then, she has starred in several films and has been on the cover of a number of magazines. She has a slender frame and her dusky complexion makes her look beautiful.
Nicole was born and raised in Bangalore, India by her father Ian Faria who is a motivational speaker and corporate trainer. She has a bachelor’s degree from Mount Carmel College in her hometown. She is married to Rohan Powar, a television actor, and they are expecting their first child in 2019.
